Choose your University and Course
Choosing the right university and course is usually a challenging task especially when you have a wide range of options to choose from. It is important to note that in order to qualify for a student visa for New Zealand you have to apply for a course at an education provider approved by the Ministry of Education or the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Apply to the University
In order to apply to the selected university and course, you will require some official personal documents that could vary depending on your education provider however some major documents required are as follows:
- Application Form: Complete application form should be submitted. You could be required to pay an application fee too.
- Official Academic Transcript: You are required to provide the official mark sheet/ transcript of your previous educational qualifications.
- Character Certificate: Character certificate from your previous education provider should also be submitted.
- Certificate of English Proficiency Test: Students who have English as their second language are required to submit a certificate of English Proficiency Test (IELTS, TOEFL or PTE).
- Statement of Purpose: A write-up introducing yourself, your interests, achievements, related experience, future- plans etc. This document should overall include the reason you’ve selected the particular university and the course
- Recommendation Letter: Recommendation letter from your past institution is also another document often required by the university.
- Passport: A scanned copy of your passport is also required.
- Work Experience Letter: Work experience letter if you have any.
- Verification of Employment: Letter from your employer along with bank statement of your pay slips.
- Curriculum Vitae: Updated curriculum vitae with your personal details, experiences, education, interest etc.
Please provide an explanation if you have any gap years.
*Interview: A phone or skype interview can be requested by the university in some cases.

Offer of Place
After your application is submitted and you are selected, you will your offer of place from the University.
It is important that you accept the offer of place before the deadline and notify your education provider of your decision. In order to secure your admissions, you should proceed on to the next step and pay your fees.

Organising your Funding
You will be required to provide evidence of your finances which will require some essential financial documents like Bank Balance certificate and bank statement in order to provide the university with proof that you can finance your studies and stay in New Zealand.
Most students opt for education loan. New Zealand immigration only accepts two banks from Nepal that includes Nabil Bank and Nepal SBI Bank.
It is important that you prepare your finances as you will be required to pay your tuition fees as instructed by your education provider.

Apply for your Visa
Once you receive your offer of place, you can then apply for your VISA online.

Get your Medicals Done
