About the Digital SAT Course

Introduction & Course Content

The Digital SAT is comprised of two sections: Reading and Writing , and Math.

The Reading and Writing portion of the digital SAT comprises two modules lasting 32 minutes each with 27 questions each (54 questions total). Because the test is adaptable, performance during Module 1 determines the difficulty of the questions that appear in Module 2.

The Math Section of the digital SAT is 70 minutes long with 44 total questions. It is divided into two equal modules of 35 minutes with 22 questions each.

The SAT tests skills that you are learning in high school—skills you’re likely to need in college and beyond.

    • Writing and Language: Grammar, usage, and word choice; improving sentence structure and coherence.
  3. Essay Writing (Optional)
    • Essay Structure: Thesis development, argument support, and coherence.
    • Analysis Skills: Critically evaluating an argument and using evidence effectively.

Digital SAT ACADEMIC SCORING

The Total SAT score ranges from 400- 1600 which is the sum
of two section scores. The Section scores range from 200- 800 that include scores
of Evidence- Based Reading and Writing and Math. You will also receive Test
Scores that ranges from 10-40 for Reading, Writing and Language, and Math.

Additionally, students also receive Cross-test scores
ranging from 10-40 based on Analysis in History/ Social Studies and Analysis in
Science with selected questions in the Reading, Writing and Language and Math
tests. The scores show students on how well they use their skills to analyze
texts and solve problems in these subject areas.

Students also receive Sub scores ranging from 1-15 based on
Reading and Writing and Language: Command of Evidence and Words in Context.
Writing and Language includes Expression of Ideas and Standard English
Conventions. The sub scores for Math include scores on Heart of Algebra,

What does the Digital SAT test include?

The Digital SAT I, comprised of two sections, tests skills that you are learning in high school. It basically tests the skills you are likely to need in college and beyond.

Who can take the Digital SAT?

The Digital SAT is a standardized test that stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test and is suggested for students seeking college admissions in the United States and many other countries.

How long is the Digital SAT test?

The Digital SAT is at most 2 hours 24 minutes. The English portion is 64 minutes and the Math portion is 70 minutes. There is a 10 minute break.

How many times is a student allowed to take the Digital SAT test?

There is no official limit on the number of times you want to retake your Digital SAT test meaning you can take the test as many times as the test is offered. You can check the official website of the College Board in order to keep yourself updated with the available test dates and location.

Is the Digital SAT Essay compulsory?

Essay writing is no longer part of the SAT or the Digital SAT.

What does the Digital SAT scores include?

The Digital SAT includes a total score, section scores, test scores, subscores and cross-test scores along with a separate scoring system for the essay. The total score also referred to as the 'composite score' ranges from 400 to 1600 and is the sum of the scores on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections. Students receive section scores of 200 to 800 for both the sections.

Is there any penalty for guessing?

It is highly suggested to students that they do not leave anything blank as there are no points deducted for wrong answers.

How can I register for the Digital SAT?

The deadlines of the Digital SAT registration fall approximately 5 weeks before every test date. You can simply register with the College Board official website. We are here to assist you and more than happy to help you register your date for the test.

Is it possible to cancel my Digital SAT scores?

Students can voluntarily cancel their Digital SAT scores for any of the three reasons: if they lack confidence in their performance, if their testing equipment malfunctioned during the administration of the test, or if they experienced sudden illness during the test period. The test fees paid are not refundable if students voluntarily cancel their test scores.

Is it possible to cancel or reschedule the test?

Students can cancel their registration or may request a different test date. The cancelled registrations result in a partial refund of $10, which is processed up to six weeks after the test date; however, partial refunds will not be given to those who cancel five days or less before the test date. Students who want to reschedule their test date or location will be charged a fee of $28.

What should I bring on the test day?

Test confirmation slip. Print your test confirmation (in your College Board account and in the Bluebook app)
Your ID (must be valid)
Your personal device (with Bluebook installed, updated, fully charged!)
Mouse
Charger
Pencil and Eraser (they provide scrap paper for math)
Calculator (don’t waste time with the Bluebook calculator)

How can I send Digital SAT scores?

The majority of colleges and universities require applicants to send them official score reports directly from the College Board. Before the test, you can send four free score reports to colleges every time you register for the Digital SAT. However, you will have to pay fees if you're sending scores after you get them.
