About the University
The Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) offers students over 150 qualifications from certificate and diploma, to degree and postgraduate level at campuses in Hawkes Bay, Tairawhiti (Gisborne) and Auckland. Students can learn at one of their Regional Learning Centres situated in Hastings, Maraenui, Ruatoria, Tokomaru Bay, Waipukurau and Wairoa. They will be taught by lecturers who are respected academics and industry professionals.

Bachelor of Nursing
This degree will enable you to enter practice as a registered nurse with a sound knowledge base of nursing theory, social and biological sciences, research and professional practice skills. The programme provides a balance of theoretical studies and nursing practice experiences which occur in a wide range of community and acute care settings. You will develop the understanding and skills needed to provide professional nursing care, promote health and develop as a nurse leader.

Bachelor of Accounting
If you are starting your business career in Accounting and you want a degree then the EIT | Te Pūkenga Bachelor of Accounting is just right for you. This programme is the first unified national programme under Te Pūkenga – this means, if you begin studying with us, then move to another city or town in Aotearoa, then you’ll be able to seamlessly transition through learning and employment in a multitude of contexts to suit your changing circumstances.

Bachelor of Computing Systems
Develop a sound knowledge of computer hardware, data communications and networking and cybersecurity, information systems and data analytics, IT management, software development and systems analysis and design, and understand and engage in Internet of Things technology, and elements of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence and machine vision.

Bachelor of Creative Practice
It is New Zealand’s first project-based creative degree which sets you up for a job in the creative industries or almost any other vocation. Engaged in real-life and on-campus projects, you can explore a range of creative disciplines such as design, fashion, music, screen production or visual art. Throughout the programme you will specialise in your preferred creative area while also developing broader skills by enabling you to experience artistic disciplines.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity Management)
In this degree programme, you will learn about ecosystems, conservation issues, sustainable management of land and plant life, as well as the management strategies that promote the conservation of biodiversity and address biosecurity. As a biodiversity management learner, you’ll explore how ecosystems function and support biological diversity, and how managers of biodiversity are responding to increasing concern over the impact of human activities on the planet.

Tourism Opportunities (International Learners)
Tourism Opportunities prepares graduates for an exciting range of employment opportunities in the tourism and travel industries. In particular, the programme is designed to develop skills to be able to: Apply knowledge of customer service and selling skills, Apply tourism workplace practices, Demonstrate knowledge of Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand as tourist destinations Demonstrate a broad knowledge of the tourism and travel industry

Entry Requirements
Minimum GPA of 2.41 (60%) overall in all academic subjects in School Leaving Certificate Examination (Grade XII) from National Examinations Board + a minimum of B grade (60% – 69%) in Maths. All applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee approval.

- Click on the Enquire Now button from the relevant course page that you are interested in.
- You will fill in a form with your contact details and will subsequently receive a validation email.
- One of our friendly Course Advisors will call you to discuss your course of interest.
- We will link you to an Education Agent in your region.
- Your education agent will submit your application on your behalf. Please note, all applicants will be required to indicate whether they wish to apply for credit/recognition of prior learning, provide details of relevant work experience, employment (including a resume/CV) where applicable, evidence of English proficiency (if required), certified/notarized photo ID and certified/notarized qualifications transcripts.*
- If you wish to apply directly to EIT, we will provide you an application form. Please note that for international students, there is an AU$100 application fee for direct applications.
- Wait for your offer.
The EIT Admissions Team will assess your application, which will take approximately two working days. During this time, you will be notified if further documents are required. This may cause a delay in the process. - If your application is successful, you or your Education Agent will receive a Conditional Letter of Offer.
- Review your Conditional Letter of Offer.
Once you have reviewed your Conditional Letter of Offer, you will need to submit any conditional documentation, as stated in your Conditional Letter of Offer, and you may be asked to attend an interview. - Once all offer conditions have been satisfied, you will then receive your unconditional Letter of Offer and an invoice requesting payment for your first-semester tuition fees and the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) fee, or provide evidence that you have organized your own OSHC.
- Once fees have been received, we will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
- Apply for your student visa.
Once you receive your CoE either you or your agent will apply for your student visa.
*Please note: Certified/Notarized ID and Qualification Transcripts
A requirement of studying with EIT is to provide us a certified/notarized copy of a formal identification document, which includes your name (this must match the name used in your application) and photograph. An acceptable formal identification document includes either a copy of a current passport, drivers licence, ID card, or other official licence which includes a photograph of yourself. You will also need to provide certified/notarized qualification transcripts. The certified/notarized transcripts must show all programs and an official statement to confirm that all requirements for the qualification have been satisfied. If a transcript is not yet available, please attach a certified written record which includes all grades. Certified/notarized copies of relevant documents must be in English.

Value: 35% reduction* on your tuition fees for the next term/semester. * Discounts will be applied to the tuition fees for up to a maximum of 5 units in one semester/term. Discounts are applied to the amount and currency invoiced to the student.
Number offered: Each Semester: 1 x online bachelor’s; 1 x on-campus bachelor’s; 1 x on-campus master’s. Term 2 & 4: (online master’s students): 1 each term
